
Though a Necromancer hero in the latter three, he is a Warlock in the first game, one of nine such heroes. Sandro appears in a playable role in the first four Heroes games. He is considered one of the most iconic characters in the Might and Magic series. Megalomaniacal, sinister, strategically-minded and intelligent, Sandro is initially portrayed as an archetypal villainous conqueror, though adopts a more diplomatic (if no less superior) attitude to the world in later titles following his failure to seize Erathia. He is also among only a handful of characters to canonically appear in installments of both the Might and Magic RPGs and the Heroes games. He is a recurring character in the Heroes of Might and Magic series, making his original debut in Heroes of Might and Magic: A Strategic Quest, and is the centric character of Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death. Sandro - self-identified as Sandro the Great - is considered one of the most powerful Necromancers in the Might and Magic series.
